    Sure thing!

Did you add some widgets to your home page in WP > Appearance > Widgets

How is it looking now on those location pages?

Not had chance yet so will later (At work)

I’m guessing that page is not like WP pages, edit one and it mirrors the same look on them all.

Would I be better off using that page as my HP over the one I use now?

My opinion is that it is worth it to spend some time on a great WP Front Page that explains the site to new visitors.

Then you can make ANOTHER page and set that page as GD Home, and add lots of listing widgets to it.

You are using the CPT navigation now, and your site will have a whole new dimension to it when users are encouraged to click through the GD Home Map when you add it to the page, along with a popular post view widget or two.

You could start out with just adding another page for your GD Home, and adding some listings to it. You won’t anything that way, from the way things are now, and then later you can spend some effort on your home page or even take a look at using a theme that will really highlight your content.

In fact, can I set my current home page as the location page so all the location links direct people to it?

You should use a different page for each of the GD Permalinks.

Thanks, it’s the adding another hompage/front page that confused me as only thought we could have 1.

in WordPress you can set the front page at WP > Settings > Reading

in GD you can have a different page as GD Home, the home of your directory

GD > Permalinks > GD HOme

Thanks for your help Alex over the past few days.

I had a look at the location page last night and can’t see a use for it.

Do I have to use it? I tried to set it up the same as my search and listing page but I can only use the geo home page map.

I can’t see a use for it in the setup of our website.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

some sites make extensive use of it.

For example, some sites have ‘avid fans’ in one or two cities and lots of listings in those locations, so they create links directly to those locations.

You need to keep the GD Permalinks pages in place, so you don’t get 404 errors, but there’s no harm in focusing on what is important to your site visitors.
