The front page shows fine. However, when I click on a menu item or a business the website is broken and gives this error.

    I can login.

The website was working about 4 weeks ago. I went away on vacation, came back and the site was not working, giving this error message. I had done nothing. I thought it might be a plugin issue, I updated some plugins yesterday, still getting this message. I contacted the web hosting company. They can’t help:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxxxxxx.xxxxx.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Saving your permalinks seems to have resolved it, this might mean when something updated it did not save the permalinks correctly.

    Thanks,

It could be any plugin, if a plugin has a hook to update permalinks on plugin update it can break them if it does it too early before other plugins have added their permalinks to the settings, its very hard find out which one it is without going through all the code.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
