Is there a way to make GD editable but not publicly viewable?

I am moving on to a new website now that I finised the first…
I’m going to start setting up a completely new one…but this is one that has never existed yet so I can easily just use the actual domain name. I just don’t want it visible to the world yet. I do have it set so the search engines won’t crawl it, but I was just wondering if there was also a way to inactivate the site to the world but still work on it?

Thanks for your post. You can use a “Coming Soon” plugin like this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/coming-soon/ to keep your Website hidden from the public.
