I want the archive page to have the name of the category you’re in. That requires a variable or shortcode in the title. Is there a way to do this? I tried [gd_category]. That didn’t work.
Thanks.
April 16, 2020 at 6:55 am #540541Hi Kathy Long,
Thanks for your post. The category title should be displayed by default. Maybe you’ve hidden it using custom CSS? If you’re not sure, could you share the URL of the page in question here?
April 16, 2020 at 7:37 am #540545I’m sorry. I guess I didn’t give you enough information. I’m talking about the title on the archive page: https://supportyourtown.online/places/category/services/ You can see where I tried to put shortcode that didn’t work.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, you can’t use that. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check your theme files?
April 16, 2020 at 12:52 pm #540598Hello,
as Kor says we may need to check the settings.
When you want to adjust a dynamic title for GD Pages you can check and edit the titles and metas settings.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/general/#titles-and-meta
The title on the archive should be dynamic right now, no matter what title you add to the archive page itself (in the WP Page).
If that isn’t working that is why we would need credentials to check into the issue.
If we need to check the settings please share credentials in a private reply AND a link to the WP Backend edit page for the template so we know where to look.

I can’t give you access to FTP because I’m on Flywheel server. It’s a specialty WordPress host and they do things differently. You will need to create an account here https://app.getflywheel.com/signup and then give me your email address and I can make you a collaborator.
