Is there a way to NOT show local results on the homepage?

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    E.g.

    I visit a city page like San Diego.
    Then I go back to the homepage

    I do not want visitors to see San Diego contents on the homepage

    I prefer to have custom content (maybe via new template), or perhaps set a Page as the homepage
