Is your instllation instructions for Supreme Directory v2.0.0.9 outdated

    After installing Directory Starter and then installing Supreme Directory and activating Supreme Directory my site did not look like the Supreme Directory demo.

    I did ask for some help and I was given some help so my site looks like the demo but a number of the menu items (links) are missing.

    I ran Setup Wizard again but this didn’t give me the exact Supreme Directory demo functionality, for example the a number of the menu links were missing, etc.

    I then found your link to Supreme Directory installation, however, your video for it dates back to July 2016 and I wasn’t able to follow it because I am using Supreme Directory v2.0.0.9 Refer to your video here WordPress Directory Theme & Plugins to Build a City Website for Free

    Will there be a new video guide on installing Supreme Directory Demo ?

    I am new to wordpress.

    I am still confused. I got the impression that one you installed the Supreme Directory theme and all the plugins needed to work for this theme, it would look and function exactly like the: Supreme Directory demo found here Supreme Directory demo but this is not the case. After installing what I needed, my site didn’t look at all like the demo in the link.

    It seems like I have to build pages and menu links in order for my site to look like the demo. Being new to wp, I am finding this to be a challenge. I was hoping to have an exact look and functionality oft the Supreme Director Demo so I can backtrack and learn wp by exploring this fully working demo.

    Was i supposed to get a fully running version of the Supreme Directory Demo upon installation of the theme and all its plugins and I simply did my installation WRONG or after installation of theme and plugins I am to build my site to look like the demo?

    If I am to build the Supreme Directory demo on my own…. can i instead have files to upload the will give me what I need so I won’t have to do all the steps required to build Supreme Directory demo on my own? (Being a newbie to wp I find this task overwhelming).

    What is it exactly that you are missing? Please post details including URLs of pages you want help with.

    If you want to add Properties or Classifieds, go to GD > Settings > Post Types tab > Add new: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/custom-post-types/

    Change menu items: Appearance > Menus

    Change Widgets: Appearance > Widgets

    To add new CPTs [custom post types] for example Services:
    GD > Settings > Custom Post Types tab > Add New
    Then go to GD > General tab > Dummy data tab > and add one or more dummy listing to the new CPT (optional)
    This will create the Add Listing pages automatically.
    To add the Add Listing option to the menu: Appearance > Menus
    To edit custom fields for your new CPT, go to Services > Settings.
    To edit categories for your new CPT, go to Services > Services Categories.

    How do I add the Login and Register each of my Add Listing pages:
    – Add Place
    – Add Service
    – Add Product
    – Add Person
    ?

    [gd_add_listing]

    to

    [gd_add_listing show_login="1"]

    Thanks Guust, for adding the login / register links on all my “ADD LISTING” pages.

    Can you please:
    – create the Classifieds page exactly like on the Supreme demo with the Login and Register links included
    – add the Classified link in menu area
    – include “Add Classified” in sub-menu of “Add Listing’

    1. Create a new CPT called Classifieds.
    2. Add some dummy listings of the type “Classifieds”. Make sure to tick “update templates”.
    3. Include the links as required at Appearance > Menus
