I wanted to check and see if you were still working on a solution for this?

    Hello kpewitt,

I have done some debugging and found that the plugin WPSSO Core Pro(wpsso) causing issue.

I found one of option that breaks GeoDirectory category page. I have disabled that option from Admin > SSO Pro > Advanced > Content & Filters > Use WordPress Content Filters > Untick.

Now the category page is working fine.

Please check and let us know.

    Regards,
    Kiran

We are testing it now. It is posting the text GD Archive at the top of the page on all CPT, Category, Tag Archives. It appears to be a hyperlink back to that Archives. Is this a bug or intentional? If intentional can the text be edited or removed?

You have installed Yoast SEO plugin for titles & meta, so it overwrites GeoDirectory titles & meta.
I have disabled overwrite by Yoast SEO titles & metas from Admin > GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Titles & Meta > “Disable overwrite by Yoast SEO titles & metas on GD pages?” > Tick.

Now it shows correct titles on GeoDirectory pages.

Does this solution only work for Yoast? I’m experiencing the same issue (seeing “GD Archive” at the top of category pages) but use All In One SEO plugin and don’t see this option to disable in GeoDirectory settings where identified above.

I did find that in GeoDirectory>Settings>Design>Archives>Page Template File Override > Dropdown … I can make the “GD Archives” disappear by choosing “page-pagebuilder-latest.php” but wondering if this is an accidental solution?

UPDATE – it looks like my issue may be due to the “Newspaper Theme” as discussed here. However that post claims the Newspaper theme problem was fixed in January so still not sure. Hmm.
