    Hi,

    The WPML has found an issue with GD that has an impact on SEO settings. The information can be found here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/issue-with-same-slug-in-multiple-languages/#post-1564710

    Apparently they also contacted you separately.

    Hi Marc,

    That line they suggest to comment out was added for compatibility with some themes

    Some plugins/themes can unset the page_id which breaks some features – FIXED

    You should be ok to comment that out in most cases, if i remember correctly it was with a few themes only (but it was 2 years ago).

    Hi Stiofan,

    I have found a temporary workaround in renaming my main slugs differently, so I can live with the bug a little longer. Since this creates a compatibility issue between WPML and GeoDirectory, I suppose that it will have to be addressed somehow to be fixed (other than users commenting lines off in the code). I’m not in a rush, but would like to stay informed when it’s fixed.

    If i comment out the line then i know it will cause problems for some themes, i think the best solution just now is to just have different slugs (i actually thought that was a WPML requirement). That line has already been removed from GDv2 as things are done a bit different.
