Just future events under Popular categories

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi

    I am using the Popular categories widget to display number of events but I can see that it counts past events.How can I get this to just count future events??

    p.s. I would say today’s and upcoming events, not just future.
