    Hi,

We’ve created our own customized landing page for branding out company website and when we updated the theme earlier, it took away our landing page set the Supreme Directory lading page in place of ours. I had to then login to server and do a backup restore and then our landing page came back and the theme is no longer showing it needs updating. (https://shoprva.com )

We do not want to keep going thru this everytime the theme needs to be updated. We’re using a child theme for our landing page….What do I need to do to make sure our landing page remains in tact each time we update Supreme Directory, how i do it in a way that my code is not lost on every update?

    Please explain.

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for your post. Could you tell us what kind of customization did you apply to your Website Child Theme directly? If it’s custom CSS, you can insert it into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and if it’s calling WP PHP filters, you can use the code snippet plugin.

    Hi Robert,

Supreme will always be overwritten on update.

You can take the Supreme theme and rename it to be a different child theme so that it will no longer take updates.

To see how to setup a child theme, see: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/
