letting users add events

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I am doing an event only website and added the event manager but there is only a page built for adding listings for places not events. Is there an add event page?

    Or maybe I am not doing it right.

    I would like this page to be add an event. The only option in pages is to add place.
