Limit number of characters of description text in listings

Hi, The search results page (listings) shows the entire description text. see here: https://www.detektiv-zentrum.at/suche/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=

i would like to limit it to max 150 characters.

Where can i set this settings, please?

You can change the GD Archive item template (a wordpress page) which controls the display of the archive item (the mini listing in results).

Add your own GD Post Content shortcode there to control the display of that textarea

It is a word limit

That is the archive template. You want to edit the GD Archive item instead.

I am almost there. The shortcode works but wow the content is displayed 2x on the search results. see here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuGrNQ5

So it seems the first content description is produced by another shortcode. I can not figure out which one though.

Edit the GD Archive item and remove the one you don’t want
