Link Event to Listing

I’m trying to figure out a way to link our events to existing places listings without having to re-enter an address every time. Plus, having upcoming events for a listing show up on the listing details page would be great.

In my research, it looks like the CPT plugin is the only way to accomplish this. Please confirm if this is correct. Additionally, I would like to know the following before ordering the plugin:

• Since we already have a lot of content that was created with the default Places and Events content types, will the CPT plugin allow me to simply add fields to these, or will I be required to create entirely new custom post types?
• If there is no option other than creating new post types, does the plugin include a way to migrate existing content to the new post types?

We would also like to avoid SEO headaches, so keeping the URLs the same is important too.
