    Hi i have just had a new customer register on our site, despite the list has been published the link responds with a 404 page not found. the permalink and url look the same when i view them in the browser.

    any ideas??

    i have attached a screen shots for you

    this is the url that shows in the browser when you click on the image on the new listing http://idleme.com/tradesperson/shifnal/landscape-gardeners/landscape-gardener/

    also my dashboard show 2 updates waiting, both of which are geodirectory updates. but when you go to the updates page it shows there are no updates ready!!

    it does show them if you go to the plugins section and if you click the link to see what the updates are for it take you to a workers error page!

    Hi,

    Plugin update went through without problems…

    you had 2 issues, one that I could solve, the second I’ll let you decide what to do with it.

    1) you had not converted the Database for new version as requested from version 1.3. (GD Tools >> Convert DB…).

    This was the biggest problem

    2) That page returns 404 because of the listing slug. landscape-gardener

    If you change it to landscape-gardener-2 it works. I guess you have somewhere in your database another landscape-gardener and it is clashing.

    Hi thanks for that, could you recommend any ways to speed up the loading of the website. i have had a few complaints about its speed, the map seems to take forever to load sometime?

    DO you have GD Booster installed? That should help a bit, but I think the problem here is server resources.

    What kind of hosting is that?

    Hi no i don’t have that installed

    its installed on a vas server with 123-reg.co.uk

    2gig ram
    2cores
    and as far as I’m aware unlimited bandwidth.
    i will installed gd booster now

    hi i have just installed gd booster and have a few issues, my link color on the menu home page as gone back to green which is the avid theme original color, and i can’t change it back to blue, even if i over ride this in my css file.

    also the social importer won’t install
    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class OAuthException in /home/idlemecom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodir_social_importer/inc/yelp-oauth.php on line 8

    I’m not familiar with that hosting provider, maybe Stiofan is. I’ll flag this topic for him also to look into the GD Booster issues reported.

    Hi Paulo

    i have managed to speed up the website a little by emptying my cache on my vps, removing a couple of plugins that where slowing it down, still take 10-11 seconds to load but much better that 60 seconds it was taking.

    did you see my message about the plugin social importer?

    also is there any way to change the tick list to show on map to the other way round, instead on them being automatically ticked, it would be much better to only tick what i need on the front map. my list of categories not to be shown on the map is getting huge and i can only see this getting bigger. also they don’t show up on the remove from tick list until there is a post in that category. see image

    Hi Darren,

    Social importer you must have another pluign conflicting,

    GD booster uses quick cache so u should disable normal quick cache.
