Linking post type entries?

    I haven’t played with the events side of things yet, but i’m assuming that events link to places and vice-versa?

    Can this be achieved with other post types? Say i create a post type for news – can it link to places, so a logged-in user can add a news entry which is tied-back to their place entry?

    Hi,
    Right now only Event can be linked to default(Place) posttype. This feature is in our todo list.

    Ok thanks – so just to be clear, let’s say i add 3 post types:
    churches | museums | news

    In terms of linking things together:

    events <2 way> churches – possible
    events <2 way> museums – possible
    news <2 way> museums – not possible

    Is this correct?

    wrong, right now only

    Event -> Default CPT can be linked together.

    We are trying to overcome this limitation…

    Hi devs!

    Is there any timescale you can give on this? I don’t know whether to continue waiting, or to just use the default cpt at the moment and change the labels etc

    Hi,

    I asked VIkas to follow up on this too.

    Currently we are working on improving the advance search, allowing all CPT to be searched at once. Also showing all CPT in the main map and extend radius search to show places beyond a single location…

    I guess after this we will be able to look into better events addon and better linking system for Events and CPTs.
