Hi I would like to display specific categories on the homepage. Currently I am limited to showing them in A-Z or the biggest categories according to listing numbers.

I would like to be able to specify which categories get shown.

I gather this is not possible.

Please can you tell me how I can do this manually?

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your post. You can create links and manually hyperlinking it https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_href.asp . I hope it helps.

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve inspected the demo here https://demos.addictedtoweb.com/listimia-gd/ and it looks like it’s created using a module from the theme. I’d suggest that you consult the theme author for further assistance.

We are considering a feature like that for future versions.

In the meantime you can use a builder to create things like that.

For example, Beaver Builder lite has a Call to Action element that can be to showcase a link.

I have asked the developers to take a look at the feature request and consider if it is something they can work on in the near term.

If there is a content area on the page you can probably use a builder. Conflicts between builder and theme should be reported to the theme author.

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your reply. Do you think you can share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check and see if there is an option that you’ve overlooked?

Well, you don’t have to use their front page content, I am sure.
Try asking the theme author, explain you need more space to display your own ideas on the front page.

    Hi Alex, thanks…

Though all I want to do is dictate which cats appears in the categories block… https://demos.addictedtoweb.com/listimia-gd/

I don’t want to cater for any other content.

GD Categories does not have an option for that at this time, but I have taken this up as a suggestion and the developers will consider it for a future versions.
