    one of the plugin was preventing permalinks to get updated. Honestly I don’t know which one. I deactivated all non-GD plugins and it fixed the poblem. Then I reactivated them all and the problem did not re-appear.

    Keep up posted though if it comes up again!

    Thanks Paolo, now it works, I deactivated and reactivated the same plugin, so do not understand what was..
