    Hi Sanjiv,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, that can’t be done without customization and I hope you understand. But you can always find a developer here that can work it out for you. http://geodirectoryexperts.com/

    Thanks!

The default image should fit the left frame of the site – as it is it looks completely out of place and ugly

For that reason I believe you should provide support

I cannot imagine that it is difficult fix

I would appreciate the code to fix the image size so that it fits 100% of the frame

    Thank you

    Hi,

We do not provide support for that type of customization. In this particular case, the images and the way they are presented are designed to work for ‘most’ sites, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make the changes yourself.

You can however review some of the customizations provided in the past by members.

    Here is an example: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/full-width-slider-images/#post-420690

That example uses only CSS, and may need some customization by a web designer. CSS can be added to your site at :

GeoDirectory – Design – Scripts – Custom CSS

If you need help to implement that, you can contact a GD Designer Expert here:
    http://geodirectoryexperts.com

You can find more information about customizing your site’s style here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/

The example you referenced does nothing to fix the problem.

One should expect default full width for the GD image – it is not a customization but a fix.

if you view the layout – it is very poor and expect more from one of the most expensive plugins for wordpress. I have never seen a layout this poor for the main image and gallery for any plugin or template i have purchased.

I Hate to take such a critical position but this is a fix that should be published for all GD customers free to use.

    Hi sanjiovani,

Based on the example given by Alex, you can try using the custom CSS code below and see how it looks. Not sure if this is what you want.

    .geodir_flexslider .geodir-slides img {width: 100%;  object-fit: cover;}

    Hi Sanjiovani,

Thanks for your reply. That’s how the “Cover” mode works. Without it, the attached is how it looks like. You might want to consider using a longer width image. Try 940 x 400

    Thanks!

    Hi Sanjiovani,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve just received a response from a developer and he recommends 855×400 or 1024×479

    Hi sanjiovani,

You can select the image size having width around 855px and height 400px. If there is no such image size available then you can create a new image size or modify the existing. Please note that modifying existing will not apply to the older images as it will apply to new images only and you need to use the plugin to regenerate thumbnails for older images.

Let me know if you have any queries.

    Regards,
    Patrik

how and where do i modify the image sizes

    Many images have a 4 x 3 or 3 x 2 aspect ratio – the approx sizes would be 1200 x 800 or 800 x 533

The sizes you suggest are not standard image sizes
