I upgraded to V2 yesterday and now I am not able to save any changes to existing listings and when I create a new listing the only thing that saves is the image. All other fields are blank. I have read some other tickets on this same issue. I commented out
define( ‘WP_POST_REVISIONS’, 5 ); in the config file but that didnt solve the issue.

As well when I look at my existing listings any custom fields that I have created the information does not display in the backend of wordpress and does not display on the frontend of the website. If I export the listings the data is all there.

Here are some examples of fields that dont appear. geodir_timing, geodir_contact_name, geodir_Fax, geodir_alternatephone.
    Anything with geodir_.

So close. I am able to save the changes and create new listings and I am seeing all of the data displayed however when I save the listing it is changing the category to uncategorized and then it is no longer showing on the front end of the website.

So it looks like it is affecting any listing that we have used the page builder functionality by site origin in the description field. Any record that does not have this will save correctly. There was no conflict prior to V2 however it now seems to be causing issues. So if you create a listing and add any info to the description field and then select the page builder tab and convert it to the page builder format and save the changes the category switches to uncategorized. If you revert the description field back to the standard editor and fix the category and save it then the category stays.

    Hi Terry,

Custom posts types listing content should not setup with page builder. Page builder setups the page layout, section, rows and content. GeoDirectory custom post types has its own layout for archive, detail pages.

Page builder should be used on GeoDirectory page templates which are available at GeoDirectory > Settings > Pages.

    Let us know.

    Hello,

I have used glutenberg and the GeoDirectory functionality to setup my archive pages and the detail pages. We are using tabs on our detail page and in the post_content field that shows on the profile tab on the detail page we create custom content for certain advertisers who have paid to have an upgraded company profile. The post content field uses the words press editor to create the content. Site origin allows you to format how the data is displayed in this field. Just like using word press editor functionality to bold a word or center it. Site origin just expands the editor functionality to allow you to add rows and columns within that field to format how the data is displayed. We have been using this functionality for a long time with Version 1 of Geo directory with no issues. It wasnt until we upgraded to version 2 that now for some reason it is having an issue.

Please look at these pages for an example of how we have formatted the profile tab for the post_content field. If you know of another way to have it display like that using geodirectory functionality please let me know. Every profile description is different depending on the company.

You can do a lot with custom fields, then alter the details page template for display.
