    Hello

I recently launched my website. So now other people can make an account and add new listings.
The problem is that I can only see those new listings when I am logged in.
Also the listings don’t show up in search results. Not even when I’m logged in.

    Hello,

Please take a look at the page about GD Search and let us know if you have additional questions.

You are asking about what we call “IN” versus “Near”. A search for “Kortrijk (stad)” is an IN search.

A search for “kortrijk” is a near search. A near search is more ‘exclusive’ and will ‘cut out’ more listings outside the radius.

    Hello,

Thank you! that explains part of it. But it doesn’t explain why I can’t see listings made by someone else as long as I’m not logged in. It also doesn’t explain why I can’t see the listings from Kortrijk when I search for ‘Kortrijk’. But they do show up when I search for ‘kortrijk(stad)’. (they are both located in Kortrijk so they should show up in both search results.

A search for “Kortrijk (stad)” is an IN search and will show all the listings IN that location.

A search for “kortrijk” is a near search. A near search will show listings within the radius of the search centered on the location. Some listings may be left outside that radius. Please see this page for more information: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/

For this issue, then, as an anonymous visitor, their is a listing that is ‘not visible’. But the same listing is ‘visible’ when logged in.

Please help us with a little more information so we can see this issue.
Example invisible listing URL (invisible to anon visitor)
Account needed to see it (user/pass)

Some other thins I’ve noticed (but maybe I should open new threads for this?)

    1. when i search for ‘Kortrijk (stad)’ (= so this is in Kortrijk) and return to the homepage my filter of Kortrijk remains
    2. I have problems with loggin in. I can’t log in anymore using the front end. I have to go to wp-admin and than log in.

    A. I can see that link in an incognito browser, so, I am not sure what the problem is.

    1. Yes, this is the expected behavior. Location is ‘sticky’ and follows the visitor through pages until it is changed or reset. Reset by visiting the site’s location page.

    2. Custom CSS is interfering with the form. You can disable your custom css rules until you discover the one causing the conflict.

I can see and go to the link as well, but the listing doesn’t show up on the homepage when I’m not logged in.

We are going to set up a new wordpress from scratch. Because all the changes I did in my custom css don’t show up in my other browsers I tried. Just the one where I am logged in. But I don’t want to mess to much on my live website.

Please send a screenshot of that on/off behavior so we can check it out!

In a previous reply I’ve sent some screenshots. But everything seems to be back to normal now. I don’t know how or why. I’ didn’t change anything. Als the logging in I mentioned above works again, without any changes to my css… I will keep an eye on it and let you know if it should happen again.
