    Hi,

    Would it be possible to have a country and region drop down list instead of the a textbox in the search bar ?

    Hi ALex,

    thanks for your reply 🙂

    Would it be possible to use the location as the custom field? For example, there is a custom field called State and I would like the State drop down list to list down all the Regions for the location. Please kindly advise if that is possible, thanks 🙂

    Hello,

    Would it be possible to use the location as the custom field?

    The Near search field is the only way to access the locations within the Search bar.

    For your site it might be useful to make sure your listings are all grouped into major cities or regions like states, then curate your locations (places) to make sure they are not getting separated into smaller areas. You might consider merging smaller cities into the larger ones to make it easier to direct users to the major cities via links in a sidebar or the Popular Locations shortcode.

    Yes, then, making some hand coded html links or custom menus pointing to those location pages will be a reasonable thing.
