Location Manager Plugin install Error

    Hi there

    I am trying to add the location manager plugin addon, I have installed but can not activate it. I get the following message:

    There was an issue determining where GeoDirectory Plugin is installed and activated. Please install or activate GeoDirectory Plugin.

    As a result I cannot add locations outside of the default area.

    Can you help?

    Hi Ben,

    Thanks for your post. Please make sure that you’ve downloaded the correct version. If you’re using Gdv2, you need to download the Location Manager v2. For GDv1, get Location Manager v1

    Hello,

    With BP installed the search page slug must be other than ‘search’ – fixed
    With GDV2 the WP Front page cannot be set to one of the GD pages/templates – fixed

    There is still an issue with the location switcher, and I have flagged this for the developers. Thanks for your patience while they look into it.

    In the future please post V2 issues to a V2 subforum.

    If you have FTP it may help the developers diagnose the issue better//faster.

    Thanks for taking a look and sorting this for me so far. Looking forward to a fix on the search. I’m hoping to get the site live over Christmas 🙂

    Sure thing, hang in there and we will get this sorted.

    Right now when I click on the Near field, I can’t select any of the values.

    You already have all the non-GD plugins disabled, so the developers will take a look and let us know.

    We have taken a look and this appears resolved. Please check and let us know. Probably a cache issue and cleared up after ealier changes.

    Hi Alex

    Thank you so much. This is great, but when you select from a mobile device, locations near me, it doesn’t pull any of the locations through, is there a way in which the locations closest to my current location could appear in distance order?

    Try adjusting the setting at

    GD, Settings, General (tab), Search (subtab), Search near radius

    Unless you have listings under 7mi from your location they won’t show unless you raise that number. Try 100
