Location page as home page

    Hello,

    I have an interesting question 🙂
    For example:
    When i choose a city from location switcher, it opens a page with this url “http://www.xxx.com/location/switzerland/freiburg/ueberstorf/”.
    Assume that, i used search widget on this page so it directed me to this page”http://www.xxx.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=&set_location_type=3&set_location_val=2&sgd_placecategory%5B%5D=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=”

    Is it possible to return to “http://www.xxx.com/location/switzerland/freiburg/ueberstorf/” page from the menu area, i mean can i create a non-static custom link for menu for this?

    That is not possible, but you can use the location switcher again to navigate to that country.

    Is it impossible to create dynamic link for it? If it requires development, i am willing to post this to job area.

    I actually changed my mind after reading your question again.

    If you use the “Enable Near autocompleter:” in the Advanced Search settings, and you select a suggested location when searching, then the Home link will go to the location page of the suggested location picked, IF you set “Home page should go to … Current location page (ex: mysite.com/location/glasgow/)” in Multilocations.

    I hope we are talking about the same thing … ?

    Yes we are talking about the same thing, and it worked, perfect 🙂 Thank you very much Guust 🙂
    Just one thing, if one of the CPT or categroy in the city has no listing, for example gd_item, home does not return to current location page. Is there any trick for it?
