not sure when this happened but previously if you started to type in a location and then chose that location from the dropdown menu it went directly to that specific location page on geodirectories multi location setup

so the url would be /country/region/city

now it just seems to do a search for the geo location instead with a url such as ?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=&set_location_type=3&set_location_val=1&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=

as a result they are on a search page and not the multilocation landing page i would like them to be on.

Was this deliberate for some reason or is it a bug?

And i think iasked before but when i do a search for a location and the featured listings show up. is there a way to make it show them in distance order? i can see the data is there but if you could help with what the coding might need to look like that would be a big help

im assuming that around line 3030 in general functions this part

    apply_filters(‘widget_list_sort’, $instance[‘list_sort’]);

would need to have a filter added?

in order to be able to add a new filter type of distance?

    Hi,

not sure when this happened but previously if you started to type in a location and then chose that location from the dropdown menu it went directly to that specific location page

It goes to the location page if you use the location switcher only. If you use the search near field, it searches. Always been like that.

I’m not sure I understand the second question though.

    Let me know,

    Thanks

Second question is around featured locations.

When i search for an area and it shows up the featured listings it shows them with a distance.

    http://parlour.thetattooforum.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=LONDON&set_location_type=3&set_location_val=1&sgeo_lat=51.5073509&sgeo_lon=-0.12775829999998223

i would like them to be in order of closest first…

Seems to be the right way to show them to me?

And with the distance being an available variable i hope it wouldnt be a massive task to complete.

    Hi,

I don’t think that is possible, the widget query is not affected by the search query.

Only the searc hresult can be ordered by distance that way.

    Thanks
