Location Setting

    Hello, i have purchased the location add on. If a visitor allows for the site to log their location will the listings respond to that or does that only affect their actual searches? For example, when they navigate the website will the listings shown be geared towards their location or would a visitor need to select the “Location” page for that? Thank you.

    The Advanced Search Addon will redirect the visitor to the closest location in your database, depending on your settings at GD > Advanced Search

    Cool, and this will happen consistently once they accept geolocation when they visit the site or do they need to allow tracking of their location with each visit? And will the geolocation work for every page? For example, if they are looking at a listing will my featured listings widget on the sidebar be location correct? Another example is if they are looking at a listing and they want to go back to the homepage – will the listings being shown on their homepage be location correct?

    Once they accept if for the site, their browser will remember.
    Location specific widgets adjust to the location for the page. The featured listings will be shown for the location, either as geo-located or if the visitor chooses to go somewhere else, the widgets will adapt.
    If you use the location switcher, you will be able to see always what location the site is locked into.
    If they go back to the homepage, the location might be reset to everywhere, depending on your settings at GD > Multilocations > Home page should go to > ?
