Location showing in map but not in listing

    Hi Support,

    We’re building a restaurant directory and we’re very happy with the plugin so far !

    I have a first question :
    I think since I installed the Payment addon (maybe it’s not related), when adding or importing a new place, it shows up in the map but not in the listing. And then, when trying to access the place URL (permalink) we get a 404 – Page not found.

    Do you please have any idea of what we are doing wrong ?

    Hi Sebastian,

    Could you please make sure you have inserted “categories” for your listings? If you’ve done that and you’re not sure, please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Yes all restaurants have a unique category “Restaurants” (see attached screenshot).
    Any other idea about this issue ?

    Unfortunalty, our website is not online yet (still on my home server) so I cannot give you an access yet, but will probably take care of it today or tomorow.

    Hi again Kor,

    Could this issue be linked to WPML ?
    For exemple, in our system, we don’t want the Restaurants to be duplicated and translated.

    So I created a French and an English page for GD homepage.
    In the french page : I’ve got 4 previously created in the listing and 6 in the map
    In the english page: I’ve got 0 restaurant in the listing and still 6 in the map

    Let me know if it’s not clear and I’ll get back to you when the system is online and accessible to you.

    please 1st update all the GeoDirectory plugin. 1st the core plugin and then all add-ons.

    After that we will check if things are still not working as they should.

    Just a quick question, before the update, I had found the solution to display the adress of all places in the listing view but now it’s gone. Any idea where I can find this option ?

    Thanks a lot for the reminder it works fine !

    I have another important question regarding translation.
    I would like the website to ba available in French and English, and therefore to translate all GD Pages in both language, but none of the place would have to be translated .. only one listing for all languages.

    Exemple here :
    (French) http://preprod.restaurantsdefrance.com/carte-restaurants/
    (English) http://preprod.restaurantsdefrance.com/en/restaurants-map/

    We need all restaurants to show up in the english version, without having to duplicate and translate them (otherwise it become very complexe to manage for users and admin)

    Hi Paolo,
    One more question to add the one above,

    How can I wrap #geodir_content and #gd-sidebar-wrapper in a .geodir-common div in order to center the content in 1170px div bellow the full screen map ?

    Hi,

    1 there should be a WPML option for that, however I can’t seem to find it.

    2 there are options in GeoDirectory >> Theme Compatibility.

    I asked to the developers to look into both things and htey’ll let us know asap.

    I’ve manged to solve the Theme Compatibilty issue so this is great.

    However, we still have issues with :

    – Importing Restaurants
    After a successfull import, all restaurants are in the maps, but not in the listing, and we cannot access their permalink either (404 not found)
    Ex : http://preprod.restaurantsdefrance.com/restaurants/

    – Translation
    We need all restaurants to show up in the english version, without having to duplicate them (otherwise it become very complexe to manage for clients and admin).

    Let me know which listings urls goes to 404 after importing.

    – Translation

    <
    WPML allows you to exclude certain post types from translation. I think you should use duplicate option with WPML translation. Because there is an option available in front-end and backend to duplicate listing by just one click OR you can duplicate mass listings at one time.
    If you exclude post type from translation then urls for that post types will becomes language tag less means those will not use /en/ or /fr/ in urls.

    Let us know.
