Location Switcher Shortcode not page aware

I’m using the location switcher to try to get a listing of just cities within a state.

I have http://mydomain.com/post-type/united-states/georgia/

The [gd_location_switcher] shortcode is only able to display the full list of cities.
I’ve taken advice from another post to use css to hide the regions column, but the switcher shortcode is not picking up that I’m in the “georgia” region even though the location switcher in the menu and the search bar both detect the location.
