location unknown on iOS 10

    Hi, thanks for a great platform. I would like to use the “near me” ability. I have installed SSL on my site, https://arlingtonporchfest.org. It works on my laptop (windows 10 Chrome) but not on my iPhone (iOS 10).

    Location services are enabled on my phone for both Safari and Chrome. If I point either browser to maps.google.com, the browser says “Google Maps wants to know your location. Allow?” and it works. If I point either browser to https://arlingtonporchfest.org and check “Near Me” it says my location is unknown. What is wrong?

    Hi bruce,

    I’ve just inspected your Website and I’m able to see the issue there. You need to fix all HTTPS errors as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/esthlv if you want the geolocation to work on all devices. Please use the “better search replace” plugin to replace all non-http URL to https URL. Example look for http://my-site.com/ and replace with https://my-site.com/ .

    replaced the URL with the plugin and it works 🙂
