    Hi,

I am trying to add some different locations for my listings. The thing is, I would like to have my site in both Thai language and English. So a location could be called for example “Bangkok – กรุงเทพมหานคร” on the page itself, but the URL should only be “/locations/bangkok/” not “/locations/bangkok-กรุงเทพมหานคร/” because that will result in a long and ugly URL, when people copy and paste it.

So my question is how I enter an individual title and an individual slug for my locations? Please see attached screenshots for explanation.

    Thanks 🙂

The slugs are created automatically based on the name.

If you change the names then you will end up with duplicates. The names come from the Maps API and are assigned automatically.

For example, if you rename Bangkok to “My Active City”, then someone adds a listing to Bangkok, Bangkok will be added again to the location database.

CIty and Region Locations should not be ‘translated’ but you can choose the language of the Maps API which will deliver the results in a single language of your choice. You can translate the countries, but this is for frontend display only, and doesn’t sound like what you want to do if the site is primarily in English.
