    Ok few questions here. I downloaded the locations manager.

    I would really prefer my directory to have only countries without state and actual address for each business or i would like to be able to hide the locations from the search bar all together and just use my custom field drop down…

    Any help

    I think the answer here is to create a custom post type for all my listings that dont require address fields. only problem then is hiding the locations part of the search. Also CPT’s do not show up in the V2 of Geodirectory

    Overall V2 is much harder to use then the original any many things are missing compared to my websites using V1

    Ok found CPT finally. Now i just need to figure out how to hide the locations on search . I have decided to use my custom field instead

    Hello,

    when you say ‘hide locations’ what do you mean, exactly?

    I guess you will not be using maps, so you can disable the maps api.

    Yes i have no need need for maps in any way. We want the users to be able to search the directory by country, but that is it no need for exact locations

    How do i disable the maps api

    Ok i disabled the maps api and now on the search result page the far right is completely blank. Is there a way to add widgets to that are like the other themes you have?

    Sorry for asking so many questions but the documentation is pretty limited and the features from one theme to the next are drastically different.
