Login link and results page

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    We have a “Login” link in our main menu with a couple issues:

    1. If the user is already logged in it redirects them too: https://classybusinesses.com/author/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place Which comes up as a page not found error. I assume it is trying to redirect to their dashboard, which would be https://classybusinesses.com/author/**USERNAME**/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place how can this be corrected?

    2. Is it possible to not have the login link not show up or to change the description to “My Dashboard” when the user is logged in?

    Hi,

    if you are adding a straight link to the login page, that’s normal behavior.

    You should use a plugin like this to add the menu: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-menus/

    Hi Paolo,
    Thank you for the information, this will help with the converting the link. But I’m not convinced that it is normal behavior for the page to go to a 404 error when the user is already logged in. It looks like the author intended for it to redirect to the users dashboard (as it should), but it is failing to include the username in the link.
    Thank you anyway, hopefully the link altering plugin will resolve the issue.
