Lost added places

    Hello!

    I deleted 1 city because I had 2 cities with the same name (one of them had region added, too – that is why I had 2 cities with the same name (my mistake))
    When I deleted one of the cities (I didnt merge them – I was careless -my fault) I lost many of added places.

    Is there a possibility to restore them because the are not showing up anymore.

    I created identical location and now actually what I need to do is change new locations ID (5) to deleted locations ID (3)
    Where and how can I do that? I thing then I will get back my places.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately GD does not take any backup. Plz ask ur host if they have backup of the database.

    It didn`t worked. All places was lost – automatically deleted by GD cause of changes… You should disable it somehow if it is possible.

    Hi,

    if we don’t delete all places linked to a deleted location, the directory stops working completely and to fix it you have to go back into each place to add a new location.

    Users would complain even more…

    It would be wiser to Merge location when needed, given that a similar function has been provided and most importantly, always keep a back up of your work.

    If your server’s hard disk fails, someone hacks it or anything like this happen, you loose all your work…
