major problem of conflict with Genesis

    Help! I have Genesis installed and a range of plug-ins.

    For the last couple of months Geodirectory has been working perfectly but today for some reason it’s causing everything to crash loosing primary sidebars, home sliders and bringing random images into the home slider area.

    If I deactivate Geodirectory but leave all plug-ins activated the site runs fine.

    Once Geodirectory is activated it all scrambles on the non Geodirectory pages i.e. landing page, contact us etc.

    If I deactivate all plug-ins and only run Geodirectory it now still falls apart loosing primary sidebars and still brings GD images into the page.

    I am at a complete loss. . . can you help?

    Sorry about that – for some reason they system recegnises me as administrator but will not recognise any administrators I create.

    Hi Paul,

    Just checked into your site backend, you have set “Local Information” page as a GD Home Page at GeoDirectory > Permalinks > GD Home page and same page is set as a Front page at Settings > Reading > Front page displays.
    So that page displays all the widgets set under sections GD Home Top Section, GD Home Content Section, GD Home Right Section. But you have not set any widgets in these sections, that’s why current home page doesn’t shows content.

    If you want to use GD Home page as site home page then just set widgets under sections GD Home Top Section, GD Home Content Section, GD Home Right Section from widgets section.
    If you want to use GD Home page & Front Page separately then just choose “GD Home page” from GeoDirectory > Permalinks > GD Home page and set widgets here for this page.
