Map Distances….

    Hi GD support…

    When we put in a search and state our postcode… the results / places come up with the distances all no problem in miles etc… but we’re presuming the distance stated is as the crow flies??

    Because when we do the same search on say google maps the distances are a smudger larger… obviously showing car routes etc…

    Is there something in GD that can do a similar thing to determin more accurate road travelling distances etc??

    Hi,

    you are correct, the distance is calculated as the crow flies, because it returns results fast enough to be used. Calculating road distance would be much much slower and almost unusable.
