It’s on a local testing site not a production site. So what solutions do you recommend? It can’t go to production if it doesn’t pass testing.

Solved it! The dummy data doesn’t have any set addresses. So the icons have no data input to reflect an actual address. Once an address was inputted to an event or physical property then the icons appear.

Update: The leaflet map won’t display random addresses without building numbers anymore.

    Hi Will,

Thanks for your reply and I’m glad that you sorted it out yourself. What do you mean by “The leaflet map won’t display random addresses “? Could you share some screenshots?

    Thanks!

Leaflet is the open source Javascript Library for mapping used for Geodirectory. Before, one could enter just the general vicinity of an area and the icons would show up on the front page. Now, the address has to be the exact location. One needs to include the building number as well as the street name or none of the icons will show up in any of the maps of Geodirectory.

    Hi,

make sure you set the Default location before adding the dummy data.

The dummy data can be removed and then re-inserted.

Not trying to insult anyone’s intelligence. Just explained it that way in case someone else stumbles upon this thread.

The default location was set but still the icons wouldn’t show up after adding the dummy data. The dummy data for some reason needs all the elements of an address listing.

Yes, all address field are required.

Category is also required, so make sure all listings have one.
