Map marker taking more memory amd time to load

    Hi stiofan,
    I had earlier talked to you regarding the issue but you suggested me to reduce one or more categories.

    But I have a different approach to the problem.

    I have set “default location results on home page” to reduce number of records loaded in the first load of the website.

    But somehow it is not working as it should.
    It is displaying universal results rather than location filtered results.
    Also categories are showing universal count number rather than location filtered count results.

    I have 40 categories and 11500 listings added to the site.
    I will add another 200000 listings to the site as this problem gets solved.

    Details of the site are added below privately.

    Note: It is my client website.

    Hi Kevin,

    We have improved the marker queries which should help a little but we will be looking at improving the marker code more in the next few weeks.

    I would mention though that there are limits to the amount of markers you can load at one time. Please google it.

    Hi Stiofan,
    I am aware about the limits of map marker.

    The problem is when I set the default location filter, it is not working as it should.
    It works on your demo site(http://wptry.it/try-geodirectory) but does not work on my client website.

    Setting default location filter will reduce the number of map markers on first load. I have also uncheck everywhere option.

    Could you please check what is wrong with setting.

    When I set default location as Abevellie,
    It should display listings from those locations only. but not happening as intended.
    It should display categories and category count from Abevellie, but again not happening as required.

    Please check with website given in private reply.

    that was a bug and Stiofan fixed it. Fix has been applied to your website already and will be availble in next release.
