I commented some Group specific CSS at GD > Design > Scripts.

You were hiding the map like you are on the News CPT.

    Thanks

    Hi Rita,

You have to edit each listing manually or using the “Bulk Edit” method to remove the category you want from the listings. Have you tried it? Not sure what you mean by “it did not reset after intial page set up.”. Could you elaborate?

    Thanks!

You want to have the only category of one CPT [but not the other CPTs] pre-selected and hidden on the Add Listing page, so users do not have to select a category for that CPT.

Let’s ask the developers if that is possible.

    Hi,

    with jQuery you can: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/autofill-category/

However we don’t have an example that will work only for 1 CPT.

That’s considered a customization and you’ll need to hire a developer to help you out in case you don’t know how to modify that code.

    Thanks

No, you can’t. If you hide it with CSS your users will get an error asking for a category and they will be stuck because you hid the category field.
    Thanks
