I have geodirectory installed and working but when I use Chrome bwser and go to a listing the map in the sidebar and in the listing tab does not show. It works fine in Firefox and loads immediately.
What could the issue be?
July 28, 2015 at 6:32 pm #47308HI Nevis,
I’ve just tested on my side and it works identically with both browsers.
I’ve attached a screenshot of your tabs on Chrome.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache?
Let us know,
Thanks
July 28, 2015 at 6:43 pm #47315Yep …. Cleared cashe, securities, GEO logging permissions and data in the browser etc.
Tried on different browsers on 6 different computers in the office and the results are all over the place, sometimes work, majority of the time it does not load.
We are based in Barbados….. would it have anything to do with our location and the fact that the map default location is in the USA.
July 28, 2015 at 7:21 pm #47318I loaded up the chrome developer tools and this is what it shows

A lot of errors…. not sure what I would need to adjust in my browser
one other thing.
When loaded in Firefox it ahows the “change location” selector.
But in Chrome it does not show it

Why is that and can I change it?
July 28, 2015 at 9:18 pm #47342Some real strange redirects going on for me.
Choosing united states from the location switch takes me to http://campfiretravel.com/search/places/united-states/tennessee/cosby/campground/united-states-government-great-smoky-mountains-national-park/
probably because your location page is missing or corrupt.
Please post your admin details in a private message and we will have a look.July 29, 2015 at 1:41 am #47359This reply has been marked as private.July 29, 2015 at 10:05 am #47380Should be all sorted now, please check.
The correct way of setting GD as the homepage is at GD > design > home.July 29, 2015 at 10:26 am #47383This reply has been marked as private.July 29, 2015 at 11:07 am #47392I cannot see anything wrong.
If you make major changes, disable GD Booster and re-enable or clear the GD Booster cache. If you want the homepage to show links for all states, you should at
GD > multilocations > location settings > Home Page Results >
choose “Show everywhere location results on home page (First time only, if geodirectory home page is your site home page and user comes to home page)”
You had the setting to show your default location only, I changed it for you.
If you want to use another homepage that is fine, but your directory will not work if you customise the Location page in any way.
So you would need to create a normal WP page for the homepage then.July 29, 2015 at 11:26 am #47398Not sure what you did but it is loading perfect in all browsers right now.
Thanks
July 29, 2015 at 12:00 pm #47406This is what I did (all explained above in more detail):
1. restored location page
2. changed setting at GD > multilocations > location settings > Home Page Results
3. reset GD Booster cache.I’ll set this to resolved.
