Maps show spinning loading circle but never load

    I have been trying to get this to work for sometime now. I took over this project from another developer who is no longer on the project, and when I started working on it, the maps portion of GeoDirectory were not working properly, they would indefinitely spin on a loading screen but never display.

    I am showing a javascript error of Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘map’ of undefined which I suspect is related

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am a huge fan of this plugin, and plan on using it in the future as long as I can get things working.

    HI,

    you are trying to use the [gd_listing_map width=”100%”] in a normal page. You cn only use it in GD listings pages (CPT or Category archives) or the map will not have a query to perform and won’t know what to retrieve. It will not work that way.

    I’d suggest to use the CPT pages correctly instead…

    Now even on the normal CPT page it is not working and I believe the problems are due to another plugin. We’d need FTP credentials to check better. You also have a problem with the file system that GeoDirectory can’t recognize.

    Hi Chris,

    There is a load of conflicting JS with the theme you are using (switching to twenty therteen and maps work)

    Is this a custom made theme or a commercial one? If it’s comercial maybe you want me to make changes in a child theme so you can still update it?

    hmm, let me poke around a bit. I am actually more of a trained programmer/database designer/sysadmin who fell into a job using word press so I am not 100% sure of that answer.

    Welcome to WordPress, you will like it here once you get used to it 🙂

    Basically the theme and our plugins are adding similar scripts sometimes twice and sometimes different versions which is causing problems.

    Just come back to me if you need me to look further.
