Max no of Markers

    Hi, say you have 200,000 places (listings) in different categories but under the same post type, is there a way of allowing only a maximum of 1000 to be displayed.

    Users tend to tick all the category boxes and then the server crashes. So no matter how you setup your tick/untick map categories to start with it still allows the user to override those as would be expected.

    What I’m looking for is a warning box to show that they have exceeded the number of markers when selecting categories and that they must adjust the search criteria.

    Please let me know if this is available or possibly a future enhancement? Thx

    Hi,

    no this is not possible nor is planned as future option.

    The marker cluster add-on should help you solve this especially if you use server side clustering.

    If it doesn’t the problem is an under powered server.
