Hi guys, I was woking on my website and all was going well. I went in to Mega Menu to update a color and the whole site seems to have lost its formatting and I am unsure as to why this is. Can you please take a look. http://wind-hounds.com/

You can see a backup version here from several days ago to see how it is supposed to look: https://v2q5t528lg4.c.updraftclone.com/sailing-spots/

    Thanks
    Greg

Looks very much like the Max Mega Menu is de-activated.
I suggest you contact the Mega Menu developers for assistance, this is not GD related.
    Thanks

Hi Guust, thanks for the reply but I cant understand why it would still work in the dev site of that was the case. Also, all of the images have dropped off the pages and I noticed that even the layout of the geo-directly dashboard has also been affected. Could you please take another look at this before I chase mega menu as I feel this might be a geo-directory or theme issue?? I can send you login details if you want to take a look at the admin page (have attached a snapshot).

    Thanks
    Greg

    Go to http://www.wpthemedetector.comin/
and enter https://v2q5t528lg4.c.updraftclone.com/ and in anoter window add enter http://wind-hounds.com/

You will see the difference in plugins.
Like you said yourself, editing something in Mega Menu broke the site.

    Thanks

Thanks Guust, that is a great tool!

I think I will try deleting the mega menu plugin and then reinstalling it.

    Regards

Hi Guust, I deleted the menu and reinstated it but that didnt fix things.

I then reinstated the site from a backup on my dev server and that fixed it.

Geodirectory wanted me to update the version which I did (and nothing else) and it screwed up the site again.

I once again tried to reinstate site from a backup but now I cant even get that to work.

Even if I delete all of the menu plugins the geodirectory search and map no longer works nor do any images on the site.

Can you please provide some advice on this as I don’t know where to turn to resolve this?

I believe this has to do with the SSL. Try setting your site to https

Hi Alex, I don’t understand how it was working a couple of days ago and now it requires https? Not only is the front-end all screwed up but that admin area is a mess as well and I can barely use many of the functions.

Can you tell me where/how I change to https? Do I need to by a certificate to do this?

You should talk to your host about it, they probably have you covered. This isn’t a GD Issue, specifically, as ALL the files are being blocked, not just from the GD plugin.

Hi guys, I reinstated the website with the assistance of my host and it all went back to normal.

I think updated the geodirecty version in my plugins (did nothing else) and it has broken the site again: https://wind-hounds.com/

Can you please take a look?

    Hello,

it is looking better, but, the same issue is still present and the site is not yet SSL.
The front page error is also the same issue.

Try getting the SSL sorted with your host.

Reinstated the website. All was working. Updated the geodirectory version and the site is a mess again
