    Hi,

    I’m trying to arrive at the following result with my directory service;

    Different member roles;
    – Listing owner(Business)(I don’t intend to charge them early, may change in the future)
    – Subscriber(free) some content is locked
    – Subscriber(paid – annual fee) all content available

    What’s the best way to arrive at this point?

    Is s2member the way to go?

    s2member would be one option, there are quite a few different membership plugins.
    But that is indeed the way to do it.

    Thanks

    @guust Thanks, I read a lot of your replies on the support forum and you’re super helpful.

    Do you recommend it? or are there others you think could be better suited?

    And I have another slightly deeper question,

    while using buddypress, is it possible to allow some to create a listing without have them use the buddypress form?

    Ideally, I would like visitors to sign-up with a decent profile(buddypress), however I don’t want business owners to have to go through the same cumbersome process.

    Normally, anyone that needs doing anything on your site other than looking needs to be a registered user (except for commenting or reviewing). It does not matter if they are business owner, or a member or whatever.
    A business owner may also want to be a member, so picking one registration process will be the least confusing for people.

    If you want to charge for memberships, then s2member is a good option, but that is not to say there are no better options, I am just more familiar with s2member.
