with slug i see domain.com/country/state/city/categories/listing, this is cool
but when look meta title for categories i see “category country state city category” this not good, you can change “category in city, state, country” i think this better
places: when i view country or state or city i just see meta title is places. i think you should it look like categories will better. EXP: when i view a city meta title will be “Places in city, state, country”. When i view a state meta title will be “places in city, country”
and gd-tags not work, when view gd-tags it empty. please fix this
October 13, 2014 at 7:58 pm #18241Let0’s see if I understood everything:
1 http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/united-states/illinois/chicago/landmark/crown-fountain/ this is ok
2 Meta title here http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/united-states/illinois/chicago/landmark/ is Attraction US Illinois Chicago Landmark – GD demo. (CPT + country + region + city + category – Site name). Adding the in shouldn’t be impossilbe.
3 I see what you mean and I will add this for developers.
4 GD Tags are working fine in our demo : http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/tags/united-states/illinois/chicago/sculpture/ ???
Let us know,
Thx
October 13, 2014 at 8:47 pm #18248ok, tags work, dummy data is problem, i add normal it worked.
Meta title. My mean is “Landmark in chicago, inllionois, united state”. and slug is like you
and i see tab SEO in multilocation not useful
And search page ex: when i search landmark near chicago. Title will be search for:‘landmark’. I think title should be “search landmark near chicago” in your demo will be “search attraction landmark near chicago” and setting meta robot for search page is index and follow (wp default is noindex, nofollow) i think this good for SEO.
October 13, 2014 at 10:43 pm #18264I’m sorry for the meta title I don’t agree with you other than for the missing IN.
Having the CPT can be usefull for many reasons. If you think we should change it use the feature request system (as for anything else that is not a bug) and if many other users vote for it we will consider it. https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/
Tab SEO in Multilocation is very useful to avoid duplicate meta descriptions on locations pages and to add custom text in the front end for each location.
Search to be noindex nofollow is not a good SEO idea. Some prefer it like that, some don’t (I want my search pages to be indexed like yelp for example).
What wordpress does by default is definitely not the bible.
Thx
October 14, 2014 at 3:04 am #18275“IN” i can set on seo by yoast, Ex: category “Hotels”. I custom seo by yoast title for this category is “Hotels in”. It will replace meta title is Hotels in country state city Hotels. Now i want look like “Hotels in city, state, country”
Tab seo when i custom meta description then view source i don’t see any change on meta description
October 14, 2014 at 4:26 pm #18329Currently it is using the location description for both front end and meta description. This has been fixed already and in the next version it will use the 1st box as meta and the second box for the front end.
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/illinois/
Here you can see the description used on top of the right sidebar via the location description widget and as meta.
Thx
October 14, 2014 at 6:32 pm #18353ok i will wait for next version to fix this, thank so much
now i continue testing
1 suggest for you, can you add feature sort by recent review, and select box for feature listing on top listing base recent reviewOctober 14, 2014 at 6:36 pm #18355and more question: how to customize listing detail. i want remove, add and change something in listing detail
October 14, 2014 at 8:57 pm #18366Are you comfortable with hooks/filters and actions?
If you do a search in this forum, you can find some examples of how to remove/reorder elements using those functions.
A couple of examples to modify the place detail sidebar are:
Move rating stars from sidebar to content area: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/details-page-how-to-move-rating-stars-from-sidebar-to-content-area/
Disable some detail info: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/disable-some-detail-info/
Map instead of flexslider : https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/map-instead-of-flexislider-on-detail-page/
Searching for “remove_action” will bring them all up. All of this customization will start with a “remove_action”.
Following these examples you should be able to do just about anything.
Thanks
