Migrating to new domain

    I am migrating my site to a new domain for branding purposes. Now… is it a good idea to use one of those migration plugins? I remember the last time I used one of those I got an error saying the SSL certificate didnt match the website it was created for or something like that.

    Now I dont mind rebuilding the site from scratch but I am wondering how to keep the users I have registered as well as the comments. Is there a tutorial u recommend for migrating the DB? Any particular issues I should look out for? Or should I just go for any good tutorial I find online to export the entire DB from my old site to my new one?

    If you are only changing domain [and not server], then all you need to do is replace the site URL using the Better Search Replace plugin.

    Also changing server 😀 I am graduating to my very own unmanaged VPS. What else should I do besides what u just mentioned?
