I’ve just transferred my site to it’s new domain from the development server and I have lost all of my custom place settings, prices, listing form.

I backed up the database, changed the urls, exported it, changed the urls that hadn’t been changed and imported it so I though that would have worked ok.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I don’t want to have to go through the whole setup process again if possible.

I guess you ran all the GD Tools, and have checked your permalinks at GD > Permalinks and Settings > Permalinks?
Your permalinks do not seem correct:

    Hi,

how did you cahnge the URL.

My procedure to get this right at 1st attempt is:

    1) Backup all files and transfer to new server
    2) Export the db to transfer
    3) Import it in the new database
    4) Upload this scirpt via FTP in the root of your website (where wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes folders are)
    5) Run the script to find and replace the old domain with the new domain.

Following this procedure you can’t go wrong.

Let us know if you still have problems.

    Thanks

I’m sorry, I confused the 2 website. It looks like the main CPT is gone. I don’t know Sequel Pro, I’ve never used it, but I fear it could have broken some serialized option.

Could you please try reimporting the backup following the procudure I gave you? That is what I’d try to do.

    Thanks

Hello. Sorry to revisit an old thread but I am trying to do this in reverse, so that I can back up and update plugins locally. Following your instructions Paolo…

When I get to step 3 I get an error message saying

    Error

    SQL query:
    INSERT INTO wp_geodir_attachments VALUES(“”,””,””,””,””,””,””,””,””,””,””,””);

    MySQL said: Documentation
#1062 – Duplicate entry ‘0’ for key ‘PRIMARY’

    Any ideas?

Hi Jen, This is a common issue when transfering DB’s, there are many solutions depending on what stage you are at, please find the one most appropriate from stackoverflow: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Duplicate+entry+‘0’+for+key+‘PRIMARY’

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
