Modern Child Theme

Hi

The CSS is slightly out on the new modern child theme.

1. The thumbnails on the widget “popular post view” displayed as list view for the listing right hand side overlap the text by a large margin.

2. The dark margin around the newly styled RHS search box widget is not even on each side

These are settings that are not adjustable in the backend but needs the CCS file to be updated/changed therefore, for increased out of the box usability it would be better if they were right to start with.

The thumbnails were not right on the original child theme but as the classes and ids in the new modern child theme have not been replicated into the new css file where they controlled the same widget, any custom css can’t be transfered from the old stylesheet to the new in cases of upgrade.

Also, the modern child theme css file seems to contain all of the styles for the theme which kinda defeats the object of the child theme? Shouldn’t the new updates been applied to the GDF and then a child theme created?
