Moving posts from Places to custom post types

    I have over 240 posts in places. I downloaded custom post types to help organize my site a bit better. Is there an easy way to move posts over from Places to custom posts?

    For example if I have 100 posts in the category Food in Places with various subcategories. Now I created a custom category food. Is there any easy way to move to posts over?
