multi-group search filter

Hello GeoDirectory Support,

We are looking for building a search filter something similar to Kayak (e.g. https://www.kayak.com/flights/SFO-YVR/2016-07-06/2016-07-11). Instead of one big OR logic, the categories are broken into the following groups:
A) # of stops
B) time
C) airports
D) airlines
E) booking providers

For this site, how difficult would it be to separate out the parent categories into the following and have Parents in AND logic while child in OR logic:
A) bioregion
B) Groups
C) Themes
