    Hi guys,

Running GD V2 up to date. GD V1 allowed multilple email addresses to be in the “email” field of a listing… very important for alot of my clients who want the email to go to head office and also the branch . This could be comma seperated as follows:

    info@domain.com, branchlocation@domain.com

Now, when editing an GDV1 -created listing with the above in the “email” I get the error:

The part following "@" should not contain the symbol ","

I tried the same using ; as the email address separator but same issue.

How can I get the GDV1 functionality on this back?

    Thanks very much

    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

In GDv1 also there was no option to add multiple email address in email field without customization.
Can you provide site details where this functionality is working?

You can add multiple email fields to allow for more emails.

    Regards,
    Kiran

    Thanks Kiran,

I was sure I had it in GD V1 without a customisation – but I do not have a GD1 site to prove it.

    Hi Adrian,

In GDv1 it is not easily feasible, because we have added extra validation for email & also there are some new functionalities like post meta, post badge that need to be adjusted via customization to show multiple emails.

We recommend you to use another email field and you can use hook to send email to that email as well.

I asked GDv1 site, because i thought you have customization done there to work with multiple emails.

    Regards,
    Kiran

    Thanks Kiran,

FYI – I tested updating the email field to be “info@domain.com, person@domain.com” (via the database) and the email successfully sends to the 2 email addresses.

Be great if I could just remove the validation, but I understand it’s baked in.

    Thanks

    A
