    Hello,

I’d like to create a page with a list of all listings and an add listing form, both in the main content. Each shortcode works individually but only the add listing form shows when I put both shortcodes in.

    Thanks for any help,
    Alex

Add Listing shortcode (template) overrides all content in any page within which it is used.

Oh, sorry, I didn’t realise that. Is there a way to get round it?

The thing is that I want users to see a list of unclaimed listings before they register one, to try to minimise multiple submissions of the same listing.

As a way to get around this problem I thought I’d put the listings in the main content and the add listing form in a widget, but the add listing form isn’t working in a widget. Is there a way to solve that?

Really, the add-listing form is a very special form.

You would have an easier time building a simple plugin form that could submit via rest API.

It is not possible to customize the add listing form without working on the template.

This will be one of the biggest changes with V2, and we are happy about that here in support 🙂

Have a look at the https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/ajax-duplicate-alert/ addon, that should cut down on some duplicate listings being submitted.

    Thanks

In the end I used CSS to swap the sidebar and main content, and then resize them, and then put the add listing form in the new “sidebar”. Probably a bit of an ugly way to do it, but quite simple and it worked 🙂
